<title>STUDY ON CITIZENS’ INTENTION TO ADOPT E-GOVERNMENT: CASE COUNTRY ‘BANGLADESH’</title>
<link>http://dspace.mist.ac.bd:8080/xmlui/handle/123456789/546</link>
<description>STUDY ON CITIZENS’ INTENTION TO ADOPT E-GOVERNMENT: CASE COUNTRY ‘BANGLADESH’
Chowdhury, Md. Shafiul Alam; Sultana, Major Tahmina; Sowket Ali, Dr. Mohammed
In this paper, a model is developed and proposed to evaluate the citizens’ intentions to adopt e-Government, their&#13;
knowledge, experiences, as well as their perceptions on risks, trust, behavioral control, and the usefulness of e-&#13;
Government. The proposed model (Evaluation model) is based on previous research and theories on technology&#13;
acceptance and it follows the 7 guidelines of design-science research. A questionnaire was made to measure the&#13;
variables in the model, including personal knowledge, experiences, trust in government and e-Government. In&#13;
addition, perceived risk, behavioral control, subjective norms and usefulness of e-Government were also&#13;
considered. The survey was carried out in a number of big cities in Bangladesh with about 200 people participating&#13;
in the completion of the questionnaire. The results showed that the relationship between variables in the model is&#13;
significant. Trust in the government is not a significant indicator of trust in the e-Government, while trust and risks&#13;
are found to be significantly inter-related. The prerequisites to access to e-Government like computers and the&#13;
internet were found to be directly related to the citizens’ intentions to adopt it. The results also illustrated a&#13;
surprising high rate of citizens who are willing to adopt the e-Government at the place of interview. This is a desired&#13;
rate that all the governments want to achieve when deploying e-Government project.

<title>DETERMINATION OF MAXIMUM PROFIT OF A MANUFACTURING COMPANY USING A NEW TRANSPORTATION TECHNIQUE</title>
<link>http://dspace.mist.ac.bd:8080/xmlui/handle/123456789/545</link>
<description>DETERMINATION OF MAXIMUM PROFIT OF A MANUFACTURING COMPANY USING A NEW TRANSPORTATION TECHNIQUE
Islam, Md. Amirul; Moniruzzaman, Sqn Ldr Md.; Uddin Ahmed, Maj Mollah Mesbah; Islam Ukil, Maj Shirajul; Uddin, M. Sharif
A newly developed transportation technique is applied here in order to determine the maximum profit of a manufacturer&#13;
company. At the very beginning of the main operation we determine a table called Total Opportunity Table (TOT) that makes&#13;
the total procedure easier. Then we calculate the Distribution Indicators (DI) from the difference of the biggest and the&#13;
smallest Unit Profit of each row and each column of the TOT. We locate the basic cells as the biggest entry of the TOT along&#13;
the biggest DI. Finally, allocations are made in the cells of Transportation Table (TT) corresponding to the basic cells of the&#13;
TOT. The technique is justified with numerical example for its efficiency.

Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) is basically a system of satellites providing autonomous geo spatial&#13;
positioning with global coverage. There are mainly four GNSS systems currently in operation. They are the United&#13;
States’ Global Positioning System (GPS), Russian Federation's Global Orbiting Navigation Satellite System&#13;
(GLONASS), Chinese BeiDou Navigation Satellite System (BDS) and European Galileo. The possible uses of&#13;
GNSS are enormous and spanning many domains. In this paper effort has been taken to highlight some recent&#13;
and practical applications of this technology, special focus on military and commercial applications in various fields.

<title>EFFECT OF FIN ON THE PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS OF CLOSE AND OPEN LOOP PULSATING HEAT PIPE</title>
<link>http://dspace.mist.ac.bd:8080/xmlui/handle/123456789/543</link>
<description>EFFECT OF FIN ON THE PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS OF CLOSE AND OPEN LOOP PULSATING HEAT PIPE
Rahman, Brig Gen Md. Lutfor; Nawrin, Sumaiya; A Sultan, Rasel
Pulsating heat pipe (PHP) is a two-phase thermal control device with arbitrary number of turns which is basically&#13;
used for the thermal management of microelectronic devices as there is a requirement of miniaturization of heat&#13;
exchangers. To fulfill today’s increasing demand of power electronic applications PHP is a proven technology&#13;
which works on principle of oscillation of the working fluid and phase change phenomenon in a capillary tube. An&#13;
experimental investigation has been done on both close and open loop pulsating heat pipes by using suitable&#13;
working fluid to observe their thermal performance. It has performed on 2 mm inner diameter and 2.5 mm outer&#13;
diameter open and close loop pulsating heat pipe with fin added on the condensation section. The overall&#13;
experiment is done by using methanol with 50% filling ratio at 0⁰ (vertical) inclination angle on close loop pulsating&#13;
heat pipe (CLPHP) and open loop pulsating heat pipe (OLPHP) with 8 loops. In both the pipe evaporation section&#13;
is 50mm, adiabatic section is 120 mm and condensation section is 80 mm. The main objective of this experiment is&#13;
to observe the effect of their thermal performance while using fins and without fin i.e. the basic form. The paper&#13;
attempt theoretical and experimental investigation on the thermo-physical properties of working fluid and will also&#13;
show the result regarding the significance of using fin on CLPHP and OLPHP. Keywords: PHP, CLPHP, OLPHP,&#13;
fin with condensation section. Anaerobic treatment of high strength industrial wastewater is a well established&#13;
industry in the developed world. Along with the treatment of wastewater requiring no aeration and thus being highly&#13;
energy efficient the byproducts of anaerobic treatment hydrogen and methane gases are sources of clean&#13;
renewable energy. This paper evaluates the potential of biogas generation in the Bangladesh Military Savar dairy&#13;
milk processing facility by detailed characterization of the wastewater discharge flow pattern and characterization&#13;
of the wastewater. A theoretical methane generation evaluation was conducted based on the wastewater flow and&#13;
waste characterization. This was then related to the potential high value generation in terms of electricity&#13;
production to show the potential of anaerobic agro based industry wastewater treatment with simultaneous&#13;
generation of renewable energy.
