dc.description Rethinking Jamdani Weaving Village: A Sustainable Living For The Jamdani Weavers, Narayanganj en_US
dc.description.abstract Jamdani is one of the finest muslin materials of Bengal created in Bangladesh for centuries. Jamdani, a traditional fabric of the country, has been recognized as a Geographical Indication (GI) product of Bangladesh, a move that is expected to facilitate its weavers to brand the indigenous cloth in a better way at home and abroad if we have a community of jamdani, it will be very helpful for us to export and import all over the world. The weavers, who play an influential role in the development of the textile sector of the country, are forced to leave their profession as they are denied the basic needs and minimum wages for a decent livelihood as a result the few who remain do not want their children to carry out the profession after them The project will ensure a sustainable working and training environment for motivating the weavers and exhibit fusion products of jamdani to promote and increase the market value all over the world and also allows people all over the country and the world to come and participate, observe and learn. en_US
