dc.description.abstract Due to rapid industrialization, urbanization and change in the social attitude, the number of juvenile delinquency have increased to a great extent. The aim of Juvenile Detention Center is to rehabilitate and protected young offenders from adult offender’s influence. The main goal of this space is to treat young offenders to a point where they are less tempted to repeat their delinquent behavior and they become productive members of society. To achieve this, a number of smaller goals listed. The juveniles organize in smaller groups and the designed space organize according to the cycle of time that they have to spend in this complex. The space also must have the quality to influence and motivated them to rethink about their life and give them a hope and light to see the right track of life. This thesis interrogates Juvenile Correctional and Rehabilitation facilities as an architectural typology, and explores their design philosophy and its effects. It investigates the architectural and spatial ualities that can facilitate the rehabilitation of young offenders. en_US
